The royal bengal tiger

The Royal bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris or Panthera tigris bengalensis), is a subspecies of tiger primarily found in India . The Bengal tiger is India's national animal. The Royal Bengal tigers are the most graceful animals found in Sundarban in Bengal. In India we had over forty thousand tigers in the beginning of the 20th century. The current population of wild Bengal tigers in the Indian subcontinent is now estimated to be between 1,300 and 1,500. The reasons for tigers becoming an endangered species are the uncontrolled felling of trees resulting in the shrinkage of the habitat of the tiger, decrease of prey, and increase of poaching for its beautiful skin.

I worked out this digital painting for my final year advertising camapign on "incredible india". This one took me bout a day to complete.
